It can be a large investment in both finance and commitment to undertake many certified courses.

Recognising this, we have developed a broad array of 'priming classes' that provide our youth with a quick overview of concept and some basic skills, giving them a good start as the decide the path that they wish to travel.

Courses generally run for 2 hours, with parents and guardians welcome to attend.

Proudly supported by Bendigo Bank, we are pleased to announce that many of our classes have been reduced from $40 per head to only $25.

Barista Basics

Coffee is the social currency of the western world, and some basic barista skills can open a lot of doors to employment.

Whether a part time job after school, the funding base for a 'gap year' or world tour, or to support you as you put yourself through brain surgeon school, some basic barista skills will put you in good stead.

POS and the art of Upsell

'Flatscreens' are for more than Netflix, and a basic familiarity with POS (Point Of Sale) programs is a fantastic skill to take to your next job interview.

Run in parallel, the Art of Upsell is a lot more subtle than the standard "Do you want fries with that?" Skilled upsellers can increase customer satisfaction even whilst increase spend by 20% or more.

Cellar Door Basics

Know the difference between a Pinot Gris and a Pinto Grigio?  Neither do I really, but I can sell you a bottle of each.... with a smile on my face.

With the McLaren Vale just minutes away, some basic skills in cellar door operation and the difference between wine varietals can be very valuable when stepping into the jobs market.

(18 to 25 year olds only).

Values-based decisionmaking

One bad decision can change your life.

One good decision can change your life.

Without preaching or casting guilt, Matthew Newlands of Engage Mankind provides an emotive, entertaining and inspiring presentation about what can go wrong, and how to make it right.

We all have extraordinary scope to become extraordinary individuals!

The Classy Guy

Is chivalry dead?

How is your behaviour influenced by your peers, and are you putting your best foot forward?

It doesn't take much to lift yourself above your peers, winning jobs, girls and acclaim through tapping into your better self.

Respect yourself and the rest will follow!

Non-violent communication

Nonviolent Communication is based on the idea that all human beings have the capacity for compassion and only resort to violence or behavior that harms themselves and others when they do not recognize more effective strategies for meeting needs.

Arm yourself with a better way to express yourself and have your needs met.
