barista and hospitality training

$120 for one attendee / $150 for two attendees ($75 per head)

Ages 12 and above.

Attendees learn the ins and outs of the Commercial Espresso machine and grinder, and are trained in tailoring the grind, packing the head and creating the perfect shot. Once Espressos and Long Blacks are nailed, attendees then tackle milk texturing and patterning, learning about mousse formation, hitting the right temperature and pouring lovehearts and ferns across FW, Latte and Cappuccino.  Training occurs in a live Café environment at Meeting Place MV, with attendees often called on to serve customers, run the till and deliver coffees (based upon attendee comfort).

 A Certificate of Achievement is provided.

Put your kids to work this school holidays with a two hour 'live' café experience at Meeting Place MV! Attendees learn basic hospitality skills including customer service, working the till and Point of Sale, Cash handling, Muffin baking and, of course barista.  As the sessions winds up, attendees each select a meal from the menu and prepare their own café quality brunch, consisting of their selected meal, a hot chocolate and a fresh baked muffin. This provides some great training and useful experience in a fun environment. 

A Certificate of Attendance is provided.

$350 for one attendee / $450 for two attendees 

(by arrangement) 

Across three sessions, attendees gain experience in Barista, 

POS & Customer Service and general Café Husbandry.  

Each session is supported by a workbook, and upon successful completion, attendees are provided with a formal, personal reference for their CV.

Workbook is tailored to the skill level of attendees.

We specialise in supporting those with disability and have tailored classes for attendees with anxiety and developmental/sensory disorders. 

We offer a 3 x 90min cadetship providing training in barista, customer service, cash handling and general hospitality. Each session costs $150, with first session is stand-alone, with the attendee being able to opt out if they do not want to continue.

Cadetships can be undertaken to develop real skills for candidate's resumes, or can be offered to build social inclusion skills and self esteem.
